As an educator, counselor, and girl-mom, Charla Armstead spent the last two decades impacting the lives of youth and families. She is driven to advocacy by a passion to equip and empower the underprivileged, voiceless and the vulnerable. Charla and her daughter co-wrote Deja Donut Girl: Facing the Enemy to encourage kids to be their own superhero with faith, boldness, and courage. She is also a contributing author in One DAE at a Time: Intentional Declarations, Affirmations, and Encouragement for Women, a faith building anthology and daily encouragement for women in every season of life.

Most recently, Charla added the title of entrepreneur, launching an online boutique, Aderet Apparel, LLC. Through this venue, she reminds women they are “crowned in beauty” by providing signature women’s clothing inspired by her love for both faith and fashion.

A life-long learner, Charla holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the College of William & Mary, a Master of Arts in Counseling and Student Affairs from the University of Maryland College Park, and a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Union University. An ordained minister, Rev. Charla Armstead has a heart for worship and arts and a desire to both proclaim and explain the Word of God, imparting practical spiritual principles that transform the hearts and lives of believers.
